Lauryn Hill Explains Why She Left The Spotlight For So Long

Gyptian “Nah Let Go” Official Video

Nicki Minaj and Mystikal in concert (VIDEO)

On Saturday John Blu, Miguel, J.Cole, Gyptian, Mystikal, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane and Rick Ross all hit the stage for Wild 94.1′s Last Damn Show in Tampa.

John Blu was first on the lineup and he performed a couple of his songs along with his hit single “In love with your booty.”  He brought out a female from backstage and made us all believe he was going to propose to her. He then busted out with “I’m in love but not with you. I’m in love with your booty” and began singing.

After John Blu, Miguel hit the stage. He also sang a few of his songs and he was great live! He has a great voice and energy. He played the guitar along with other instruments which really showcased his talent, and showed the audience how multi-talented he is. I look forward to hearing more from. His popular single “All I want is you” features J.Cole.

J.Cole as usual has an awesome stage presence. He sang his hit singles “Who Dat” to “Lights Please” He had the crowd singing and shouting “who dat, who dat” like if  he’s been in the game for years. Definitely looking forward to seeing his album drop before the end of this year.

After J.Cole came Gyptian and he’s always a lot of fun. Now, don’t get me wrong it’s not that I don’t want to talk about Gyptian’s performance I just want to get to the best performance of the night. MYSTIKAL!

Yes, Mystikal is back. Finally after being in jail for 6 yrs! To be honest with you when I saw he was on the lineup and had the longest set of all the artist (30mins) I asked myself “what are these people thinking?” But let me tell you ALL something I was INCREDIBLY WRONG! He came out there and KILLED it! The whole crowd was buggin’ out!  He sang “Make ‘em say uhhh” and after he was done he said that song was the reason for his child support being so expensive! Lmao! He also said,

“I know many of you don’t know who the f*$% I am, but lemme tell you who the f&*% I am”

So, he was fully prepared for the possibility of the crowd there not knowing who he really was, but man those of us that remembered his verse in “Move Bitch,” or remember singing “Danger” or shakin’ our asses to “Shake it fast” really enjoyed the moment. He took a moment and did a little dance tribute to the late and great Michael Jackson. It felt good to have him back, and it makes me look forward to his new album coming out in December.

After Mystikal came every one’s favorite girl in hip-hop right now, (and if she’s not your favorite she’s definitely the one you love to hate) Nicki Minaj. Her performance was great. She did songs from her older mixtapes, along with Bottoms Up, My Chick Bad, All I Do Is Win Remix etc. However, I do have one complaint. Her performance was great and then the last 15 mins consisted her signing tshirts she was throwing out to fans and then going down and signing girls boobs. Look, I get that her “thing” is signing the boobs, but she needs to remember her audience consists of more than just the front row and their titties. It’s the third time I’ve seen her this summer and this ending truly disappointed me.

After Nicki, Gucci Mane came out. He did his thing as usual. I wish he interacted a little more with the crowd but overall he did well and performed all the songs we love. What really surprised me is that at the end of his performance Gucci told the fans to go out and buy his album on Sept. 28th and to go pick up Waka Flocka’s album on October 5th. huh?!?!?! That totally caught me off guard! Waka and Gucci haven’t been speaking ever since Gucci fired Waka’s mom as his manager. Waka had also told HOT 107.9 in Atlanta that him and Gucci don’t speak. Now Gucci is pluggin’ his album?

I just found that interesting, but you know, if they aren’t speaking more power to Gucci for being the bigger person and not going down the stupid feud road a lot of rappers tend to.

Lastly, Rick Ross came out and killed it. I had this one little boy next to me that looked just like the kid in the “Sky’s the Limit” video! Little man was bugging out as Ross rapped and ended the show by singing “Boss.”

Definitely a cool night! Enjoy the vids and don’t judge me shooting off the jumbo screen, ya’ll do it too!

Wyclef Jean Was Not Listed As A Presidential Candidate

The list of presidential candidates fot Haiti were released yesterday.

While many people were listed, somehow Wyclef’s name was nowhere to be found.

Wyclef has been running for President of Haiti for the past few weeks now, i’ts only fair that they could have at least put his name on the paper.
